Answering Tough Interview Questions

My Tips for Answering Tough Interview Questions

Tip #1 – Display confidence in your abilities and when answering questions!

Tip #2 – Be personable. You only have 30-60 minutes to build repore with the interviewee. Interject a couple personal stories throughout the interview. The start of the interview is a great place to add in a personal story as you get through the how are you start when meeting a new person.

Tip #3 – Know exactly what you have on your resume! So many times people stumble on their past work experience. They may have worked at those jobs but can’t recall what they did, or when they moved from one position to another. Make sure you know your resume so you can comfortably handle these types of questions.

Tip #4 – Wear a suit!! I know it’s obvious but many people just don’t do it. Most companies allow business casual attire AFTER you get the job, but first impressions are still extremely important.

Tip #5 – Have a firm handshake! If you don’t have this take the time to practice – It may just be me, but having a firm handshake shows confidence and overall good impression. When you do give a handshake, make sure you look directly in the eyes of who you are shaking hands with.
